Postgraduate Education Program in Ophthalmology
Eye-PEP (PEP = Postgraduate Education Program), an LVPEI educational initiative, is specifically aimed at postgraduate students in Ophthalmology. The 2010 edition of Eye-PEP scheduled to be held at L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad from September 21-26.
The expanded 6-day program will be an optimal combination of interactive didactic and hands-on teaching and will include topics covering the entire spectrum of basic and clinical ophthalmology. Complete course material will be provided.
The curriculum has been designed with a lot of care to help empower the participants with the necessary skill set and the "thinking cap", not only to get the best out of the postgraduate program as an intermediate goal, but also to finally become competent and complete ophthalmologists.
An interesting aspect of the course is personal interaction with the "Teacher of Teachers" Dr P Namperumalsamy, the Eye-PEP 2010 Icon. There are several competitions - postgraduate lecture competition, grand rounds competition, and OSCE with attractive prizes.
