Short Term Fellowship in Retina & Vitreous

Duration: Three months

Session commences: January, April, July and October every year.

Places available: One in each session.

Selection: The applicant should have the potential to develop the sub-speciality service at their location.

Application procedure: Applications must be accompanied by a curriculum vitae, a copy of the applicant's MBBS and PG Diploma or Certificate, as well as a letter from his/her sponsor.

The short-term program of 3 months duration is aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of practicing vitreo-retinal surgeons. The short-term Fellow can choose one of two programs - one that emphasizes the medical retina and the other the surgical retina.

Clinical
Medical short-term Fellows will concentrate on retinal diagnostics and retinal office lasers in addition to improving their skills in clinical diagnosis. Surgical short-term Fellows will concentrate on retina and vitreous surgeries in addition to improving their skills in clinical diagnosis.

Rotation
This is a flexible program. Depending on the requirement, the Fellow will be on rotation with particular faculty members, and will also have opportunities to undertake short-term project work.
