Hands- on Training Program in Diagnostic Techniques
The LVP Zeiss Academy offers a hands-on training program on diagnostic techniques in each specialty - Cornea, Retina and Glaucoma. The skills transferred during either of these programs - the Basic course or the Advanced Course, they are tailored to suit the level of experience and interests of the trainee.
Course Facilities
Zeiss 1 is the Clinical Methods Investigation Area, where the trainee will work independently with patients and conduct eye examination and evaluate the findings.
Zeiss 2 is the Diagnostic Area, where the trainee will be expected to perform diagnostic tests and interpret the findings.
Duration: Basic Course - One month
Advanced Course - 15 days
Course Schedule: Every month from March to June and from September to December.
No of seats: Up to 2 per course/per subspecialty
Qualifications: Candidates should have completed their residency training for the Degree/Diploma in Ophthalmology.
Admission Procedure: Applications for the programs should be accompanied with curriculum vitae as well as copies of certificates.
Selection: On a first-come first-served basis
Didactic Lectures: Lectures in diagnostic technologies will be scheduled during the training program.
The program is flexible, more time can be spent in Zeiss 1 or Zeiss 2 depending upon the trainee’s needs. Stress can be on Applantation, Gonioscopy and Disc evaluation or in recent advances in Disc Imaging and UBM.
