Ophthalmology
The LVPEI Education
Centre offers long-term and short-term fellowships in ophthalmology,
which are between 1-3 months, and 24 months long, respectively.
The long-term programs are for young doctors who would like
to benefit from the expertise available in their fields at
LVPEI and from access to extensive practical training. The
short-term programs are for practising ophthalmologists
who would like to gain specific experience in specific procedures
and management of eye diseases.
There is also a three-year fellowship in Comprehensive Ophthalmology
wherein the first half of the program is spent at the Institute
while the second half gives the fellow the opportunity to
apply his training, and gain independent, hands-on experience
at the Institute's rural centres.
