Since the year 2000, Microsoft India Development Center and its employees have made a substantial impact on communities by supporting various social causes they are passionate about. Microsoft’s annual Employee Giving Campaign is a year-round effort, but there’s a special focus every October in Microsoft offices globally. It is an opportunity for employees to combine their energy, generosity and creativity to raise money for non-profit organizations and causes locally, nationally and globally. Beyond the direct donation of time and money to nonprofits, many Microsoft employee volunteers plan and execute the month-long campaign through activities.
Over the past 13 years, the financial contributions and volunteering of employees from the Microsoft India Development Center have helped create impact and development across a raft of causes. Last year, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Giving Campaign, the IDC employees decided to support eye health and help the visually challenged as a special initiative. Project HelpLine is a result of contributions received from the employees of Microsoft India Development Center.
