Useful Information for Out-station Patients
Worried about visiting Hyderabad for your treatment? You need not! The following information would help you prepare for your visit. So read along!
How do I Get there?
L V Prasad Eye Institute is located on Road 2, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. Hyderabad is very well connected via flights, as well as trains. If you are traveling by train, choose Begumpet as the nearest railway station. It takes 20-30 minutes by road to reach the Institute from Begumpet. If you're flying, the Rajiv Gandhi International airport is located approx 35km from the Institute requiring a 60-90 minute drive. If you're arriving by a Public/Private transport Bus, lookout for locations like Panjagutta, Ameerpet, Lakdi-ka-Pul in that order to get down closest to the Institute.
How do I Plan my Travel?
If you are an outstation patient, you would obviously want to minimize your number of visits. If you're planning a fresh (first time) consultation, you may want to first consider the E-consult option at Ask a Query. This does not replace a complete check-up, but can surely provide more information about the treatment required, and the probable duration of stay. Typical face or eye plastic surgery requires a 7-10 days stay in Hyderabad. Hospital stay is usually for a day or two, however most surgeries are on a day care basis.
Should I Choose a Hospital room or Hotel ?
L V Prasad Eye Institute offers various options for Inpatient services (Admission rooms within the Institute). Based on the type of room, you may be allowed 2 or 1 or no accompanying person in the room. The attached file 'Surgical Package Matrix' gives you the details of various surgical packages available. The medical aspects of it can be directly discussed with Dr Naik.
