Wall of Hope

Just like fingerprints, handprints are also unique for every human being. Our little children with retinoblastoma set out to perform a unique and noble task of spreading a strong message of hope and survival by beautifully showcasing their handprints. They helped us create the “WALL OF HOPE” on the third floor of Velamati Soubhagyavathamma Patient Care Building of L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad with the message “We have survived Cancer”. This message has been created with a collage of pictures of hundreds of children who received treatment atThe Operation Eyesight Universal Institute for Eye Cancer at LVPEI. The colorful handprints of our little children, who have survived cancer, adorn this Wall of Hope.

This “Wall of Hope” is a CELEBRATION for those who have survived retinoblastoma, an INSPIRATION for those tiny little ones who are undergoing treatment for retinoblastoma, a modality of SUPPORT for those families who undergo hardships during the course of treatment of their children, and a strong and meaningful OUTREACH to the community.

Actor and Talk Show host Simi Garewal today inaugurated the “Wall of Hope” at the L V Prasad Eye Institute on 18 July 2016.
