Workshops
SUMMER/WINTER CAMPS
These camps involve visually impaired children in the age group of 3 - 15 years, their siblings and other family members. The objective of the camps is to discover the latent talents of these children by providing an opportunity for the parents to interact with each other. Outdoor activities are the mainstay of the program. The children are encouraged to explore and enjoy new things.
PARENTS MEET
A special meet of the parents of visually challenged children is conducted annually to address the specific needs in the upbringing of children with disabilities. Professional guidance is provided through group discussions, lectures and practical demonstrations.
PARENTS’ WORKSHOPS
These workshops are organized once a month for a smaller group of parents (6 - 10 persons) to focus on a specific disability.
INTERRACTIVE WORKSHOPS
A monthly event is organized for young adults with visual impairment. The workshops create an opportunity for participants to discuss current trends and issues in disability, barriers in accessing all kinds of employment, accessing assistive technology, proclaiming the rights of the disabled, advocacy and formation of self-help groups.
Each session accommodates an average of 30 challenged persons.
