The
Jhaveri Microbiology Laboratory (JML) is engaged in investigating a range of
infectious diseases of the eye that are caused
by bacteria, fungi, viruses, and parasites. The
laboratory has received national awards
recognizing its high level of service. The
research has led to several conference
presentations and publications in national and
international journals.
JML was set up with
support from L D Jhaveri, a pearls merchant from
Kobe, Japan.
