Biography
Dr Deeksha Thorat completed her basic medical education from MGMIMS, Navi Mumbai, followed by a post-graduation in ophthalmology from Drashti Netralaya in Gujarat. She then pursued a fellowship in cornea and anterior segment from LVPEI, Hyderabad, during which she also had the opportunity to work at LVPEI’s Liberia Eye Institute, West Africa, for a brief time.
Her clinical scope includes management of complex cataracts and diseases of the cornea and ocular surface. Her research interest lies in corneal infections and innovations in scientific paper writing.
She also likes to cook, travel, and explore local cuisines in her free time.
