Biography
Dr Devjyoti Tripathy completed his primary medical education and post-graduation in ophthalmology at the SCB Medical College, Cuttack, Odisha. Subsequently, he completed a long-term fellowship in ophthalmic plastic surgery, orbit, and ocular oncology at the Aravind Eye Hospital in Madurai, Tamil Nadu.He then completed a clinical fellowship in ophthalmic plastic surgery, aesthetics, and orbit at the Goldschleger Eye Institute, Sheba Medical Center, Israel, and a clinical observership at the Jules Stein Eye Institute, University of California, Los Angeles, USA.
He has been awarded the John N Kapoor Traveling Fellowship by the Indo-American Cancer Association (IACA) and the John and Editha Kapoor Charitable Foundation for oncologic ophthalmic plastic surgery and orbital oncology at the MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, USA, and has also been awarded the Technical Fellowship of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) for retinoblastoma at the Jules Gonin Eye Hospital, Lausanne, Switzerland.
His areas of interest are retinoblastoma, eyelid, orbital, and ocular surface tumors, and endoscopic lacrimal surgery. He takes a keen interest in teaching and has served as the coordinator for the Diplomate of National Board (DNB) Ophthalmology residency program at the MTC campus.
