Biography
Dr Ritesh Narula completed his primary medical education and postgraduate training in ophthalmology at the Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), New Delhi, followed by a vitreoretinal fellowship from LVPEI. Subsequently, he pursued an ICO fellowship in surgical retina at the Jules Gonin Eye Hospital, Switzerland.
Before joining the L V Prasad Eye Institute, Dr Narula worked as a consultant in Delhi at Dr Shroff Charity Eye Hospital for two years and the Centre for Sight Eye Hospital for 12 years.
He is a keen researcher and has multiple publications to his credit in peer-reviewed journals. His published work has been awarded the Gold Award and the Certificate of Merit for the most cited articles of the year by the Indian Journal of Ophthalmology, for which he now serves as an Assistant Editor.
Dr Narula is an expert in managing complex vitreoretinal diseases, especially diabetic eye surgeries and macular disorders. Apart from surgical work, his focus lies in advancing the field of retinal imaging, and he has been invited to present his work at national and international conferences.
When he is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family and reading books on a variety of topics.
