Biography
Dr Sowjanya Vuyyuru completed her primary medical education and post-graduation at Rangaraya Medical College, Kakinada. She then pursued a three-year fellowship in Comprehensive Ophthalmology at LVPEI’s Kode Venkatadri Chowdary campus in Vijayawada, with specialty training in ‘Cornea and Anterior Segment’ and ‘Cataract and Refractive Surgeries’ from LVPEI in Hyderabad.
She is a lifetime member of the Cornea Society of India, the All India Ophthalmic Society, and the Andhra Pradesh Ophthalmic Society (APOS). Her clinical interests include management of corneal infections, corneal transplantation, and refractive surgeries. She is keenly involved in the research work on ocular trauma and infections.
