Biography
Dr Tharuni Chowdary V completed her MBBS from Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College, Kalaburagi, and her Master’s in ophthalmology from AJ Shetty Institute of Medical Sciences, Mangalore. She then pursued a long-term fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at LVPEI.
Her expertise includes management of retinal detachments, diabetic retinopathy, macular diseases, and ocular trauma. Her academic interests span innovations in macular surgery, vascular retinal disorders, and healthcare administration.
She has also served at the LVPEI–Liberia Eye Center, contributing to retinal services in West Africa.
She is a sportsperson at heart and has represented at the national level in table tennis and netball. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, exploring nature, and spending quality time with family and friends.
