The Cornea Services at the LVPEI Hyderabad campus achieved a significant feat in performing the highest ever corneal transplant surgeries in a month - 224 surgeries in March. It is also most likely the highest ever by a single centre in the world. The success is the result of the dedicated efforts by the team of surgeons and the eye banking department, who are ensuring that the availability of quality corneal tissue does not remain a barrier in tackling corneal blindness.
