'The Society to Save Rocks’ felicitates LVPEI for the preservation of 2500 million-year-old rock formation

'The Society to Save Rocks’ presented L V Prasad Eye Institute with a plaque for preserving the 2500 million-year-old granite (rock) formation in its Kallam Anji Reddy campus at Banjara Hills, Hyderabad on December 3, 2021. Very dear to LVPEI, these rocks enjoy a profound place on this campus and in the hearts of LVPEIans. They are adorned by beautiful mosaic murals on the walls of the rock garden by eminent artist Late Sri Surya Prakash – as an ode to this priceless gift by mother nature. The plaque of recognition was presented to the LVPEI Founder Dr GN Rao by Ms Ismet Mehdi, founding member of The Society to Save Rocks, Hyderabad. Others present on the occasion were Ms Padmini Patell, Committee Member and Ms Sangeeta Varma, Joint Secretary of The Society to Save Rocks, and Dr Prashant Garg and Dr D Balasubramanian from LVPEI.
