The 6th anniversary of LVPEI's secondary centre in the state of Karnataka - Y Mahabaleshwarappa Memorial Eye Centre at Ballari - was celebrated on 13th February 2019. Present for the celebrations were Mr Arun Ranga Rajan, Ballari Superintend of Police; Ms Gayathri, Ballari Circle Inspector; Mr Vijay Kumar, Chairman of Ballari Belagayithu Newspaper; and other local politicians. Ms Y Preethi from the donor family was also present.
