To mark the 20 years celebration of providing ROP services by LVPEI in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad and to commemorate the World Prematurity Day on 17 November 2018, a series of awareness activities were organized. Dr Subhadra Jalali and her team members Dr Hitesh Agarwal and Dr Komal Agarwal gave interviews to prominent media channels about the importance of retinal examination in premature born babies. Posters, pamphlets, badges and car stickers were made for raising awareness, and also CME programs were organized. Some of these programs were conducted in collaboration with various partners including Govt. of Telangana and Nilofer hospital. The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust, London, released a special movie highlighting LVPEI's ROP journey. Many other centres across the LVPEI network also joined in these awareness activities. The celebrations concluded with a Thanks Giving dinner organized for the partners and team members at the purple lit Hyderabad campus.
