Paper describing the clinical outcomes of LVP Kpro published in BJO

Since 2012, surgeons at LVPEI led by Dr Sayan Basu have restored vision in over 100 blind patients using the LVP Kpro. A paper describing the 5-year clinical outcomes of the LVP Kpro was recently published and featured on the cover page of the May 2019  issue of the prestigious and internationally peer-reviewed  British Journal of Ophthalmology (BJO)

LVP Kpro is an artificial corneal implant developed by LVPEI in association with Aurolab, Madurai. It is used for the treatment of severe forms of corneal blindness in the patients with completely dry eyes that are not amenable to conventional corneal transplantation or even advanced stem cell therapy.
