Biography
Mr Rupesh Mehta completed his bachelor’s degree in clinical optometry and vision science from NSHM College of Management and Technology, Durgapur, followed by a one-year clinical internship at LVPEI. He also received a Post Graduate Diploma in Optometry and Vision Science (PGDOVS) with a specialization in anterior segment and contact lenses.
He has extensive experience in contact lens practice, with expertise in fitting advanced and specialty lens modalities, including soft, RGP, Rose K, pediatric, orthokeratology, and scleral lenses, with a special focus on managing complex anterior segment and corneal conditions.
He has been invited to deliver lectures on contact lenses at various universities and industry platforms. He also serves as an organizer for the Indian Contact Lens Education Program (ICLEP) and Mini-ICLEP workshops at LVPEI, and has presented his work at various national platforms.
His areas of interest include contact lens fitting for ectatic and irregular corneas, scleral lens innovations, and myopia prevention.
