61st Indian Contact Lens Education Program (ICLEP) Concludes Successfully at LVPEI Hyderabad

The 61st Indian Contact Lens Education Program (ICLEP) was conducted from July 11–13, 2025, at the L V Prasad Eye Institute’s Kallam Anji Reddy Campus in Hyderabad. The event brought together over 180 participants, including optometry students from GITAM University and international attendees. The three-day academic program focused on the latest in contact lens education and practice!

The conference featured 25 speakers (including national and international experts from the contact lens industry, academia, and clinical practice) who joined both in person and virtually. The program covered a wide range of topics across soft, rigid, and specialty contact lenses. Sessions were structured to encourage interaction, case-based discussions, and hands-on learning. The sessions included:
      -  Thematic lectures and clinical sessions
      -  Practical training components
      -  Networking and collaboration opportunities for professionals and students alike

The program also featured a keynote reflection by Dr Gullapalli N Rao, Founder-Chair of LVPEI, on the evolution of ICLEP and its contribution to contact lens education over the past 30 years. Positive feedback was received from attendees regarding the academic quality, relevance of topics, and overall organization of the conference.

The 61st ICLEP reinforced LVPEI’s ongoing commitment to advancing clinical knowledge and professional development in the field of optometry.
