The Eye Foundation of America (EFA)conferred Dr Gullapalli N Rao with the Robert Murphy Visionary Award for his contribution as a great visionary and contributions to eye care . The other four honorees of the award include Dr Peter McDonnell, Director of Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore; Dr Pradeep ramulu, Sheila West Professor of Ophthalmology and Director of Glaucoma, Wilmer Eye Institute, Baltimore; Dr Joel Schuman, Elaine Langone Professor of Ophthalmology and Professor of Neuroscience, NYU Langone Mediacal centre, New York; and Dr R D Ravindran, Chairman, Aravind Eye Care System, Madurai, India.
