Dr Rohit Khanna was elected to the Executive Committee of the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB). This appointment is a significant recognition of his leadership and long-standing commitment to global eye health.
In addition to this new role, Dr Khanna continues to serve as the Regional Chair for the Southeast Asia Region of IAPB. His election to the Executive Committee will enable him to further contribute to shaping international strategies for the prevention of blindness and visual impairment.
His election to the IAPB Executive Committee reflects the global relevance of LVPEI’s work and continues to deepen our engagement in international efforts to end avoidable blindness.
The International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) is a global alliance working to eliminate avoidable blindness and promote universal access to eye health. Through collaboration with governments, NGOs, academic institutions, and the private sector, IAPB drives advocacy, knowledge sharing, and coordinated action to implement the goals of the World Health Organization’s World Report on Vision and the 2030 In Sight strategy.
