Dr Sanhita Roy elected as Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology

Dr Sanhita Roy, Head of the Dr Chigurupati Nageswara Rao Ocular Pharmacology Research Centre at LVPEI, was elected as Fellow by the council of the Royal Society of Biology, United Kingdom. At the L V Prasad Eye Institute, Dr Roy's research focuses on antimicrobial peptides as therapeutic interventions to combat antimicrobial resistance in corneal infections.

'It is a prestigious milestone to be considered as fellow and have your research contributions being recognized by the peers,'  says Dr Sanhita Roy. 'The most important aspects going forward is to continue more focused research that would help our patients, and mentor the future generations of scientists.'

This recognition is awarded for achieving distinction in the field of research, teaching, and the application of biology.
