Mr Ramam Atmakuri (Executive Vice Chair Emeritus, LVPEI) was recently inducted into the Board of Directors of BostonSight, a leading nonprofit advancing treatment for corneal disease and dry eye based in Massachusetts, USA.
Mr Atmakuri joined LVPEI in 2015, driven by a deep commitment to social impact. From 2016 to 2019, he served as Executive Vice Chair, overseeing non-clinical operations across the LVPEI network. His extensive leadership experience spans strategic roles in global corporations, where he led international delivery centers, managed complex mergers and acquisitions, and executed multi-million-dollar transformational programs.
At the recent announcement, Sara Yost, President and CEO of BostonSight said, “Mr Atmakuri brings strategic leadership in establishing partnerships and a global vision for healthcare in emerging markets. Mr Ramam, accepting the induction, said “I humbly accept this honor. I attribute it to the impact that L V Prasad Eye institute makes to global eye care and the world of vision science; and my association with the institute.” He continues to contribute to achieving the vision of LVPEI in various advisory roles.

Mr Ramam holds a master’s degree in applied statistics, a diploma in operational research, and is a Certified Quality Analyst, and PMP® certification holder, and has won several awards for project management excellence and global leadership.
