Five Vision Centres (Primary Eye Care Centres) were inaugurated - two in East Godavari District in Andhra Pradesh, supported by Standard Chartered Bank and three in Sircilla District in Telangana, supported by Mission for Vision and WenGiving Foundation. The LVPEI Eye Care network has 245 centres. Each Vision Centre caters to a cluster of villages, individually serving the primary eye health needs of a population of around 50,000.
