The Jhaveri Microbiology Centre, Ramoji Foundation Centre for Eye Infections at LVPEI organized a pre-conference workshop titled 'Pathogen Perspectives: Diagnostic Skills Workshop for Ocular Infections' on October 10, 2025, at the Kallam Anji Reddy Campus, in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.
Held in association with the Indian Association of Medical Microbiologists (Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chapter), the workshop aimed to enhance the diagnostic skills of budding microbiologists in the field of ocular infections.
Sessions covered bacterial, fungal, viral, and parasitic infections of the eye, along with modules on molecular diagnostics, laboratory automation, and histopathology. Nineteen delegates participated, engaging in hands-on demonstrations and interactive discussions with LVPEI’s faculty and experts in ocular microbiology.
