LVPEI’s GMR Varalakshmi Campus in Visakhapatnam has introduced two new initiatives providing advanced primary eye care and diagnostic services: the HomeCare service and the Old Age Home Eye Screening Program. These are significant steps toward strengthening Universal Eye Health Coverage by ensuring quality eye care services are accessible and affordable to all. The emphasis for both programs lies on the elderly and individuals with special needs. Actress Sree Leela was the Chief Guest for the event, and trustees Mr O Naresh Kumar, Mr Kasi Vishwanath, and Mr Kumar Raja from the Sneha Sandhya Age Care Foundation, who have supported the Old Age Home Eye Screening Program, were also present.
