Dr Vishal Rawal was awarded the Hans-Peter Wagner Prize for his paper ’Topotecan microneedle scleral patch: A transscleral drug delivery study for retinoblastoma.’
The Hans-Peter Wagner Prize honors work reaching out beyond our own workplaces to collaborate with colleagues in less-resourced settings. It is named after the late Prof Hans-Peter Wagner, founding member of the SIOP Global Health Network and a pioneer in the field of pediatric oncology.
Dr Vishal Rawal is the first ophthalmologist and ocular oncologist to receive this prestigious award from SIOP.
