We're happy to announce the completion of the first edition of the online Neuro-ophthalmology Masterclass Course by the Standard Chartered - LVPEI Academy for Eye Care Education.
With 45 sessions conducted by 26 faculty members (including 9 international faculty) for 250~ participants from over India and abroad, the Course was an outstanding academic collaboration and a great benchmark for future programs!
Aimed to bridge the vital gap between neurology and ophthalmology, the workshop addressed the critical need for expertise in complex visual disorders. Learners were trained in the systematic diagnosis of brain-related vision loss, moving beyond basic eye care to integrate radiological imaging and rational pharmacological management, including immunosuppressive therapies. By learning to distinguish primary disorders from ‘masquerade syndromes’, participants gained the specialized skills essential for preventing vision loss and managing systemic ocular complications effectively.
The Online Neuro-Ophthalmology Course, held from June 2025 to January 2026, and led by Dr Virender Sachdeva, stands as the second highest‑enrolled online subspecialty program from LVPEI after Uveitis 3.0.
