Jilu Jaffet, PhD student at LVPEI under the mentorship of Dr Vivek Singh, Dr Sayan Basu, and Dr Javed Ali, was awarded the Second Prize in Oral Presentation for her presentation titled 'Optimizing and characterizing mesenchymal stem cells derived from the human lacrimal gland and their secretome for potential therapeutic applications in dry eye disease,' at the 7th International Conference on Nutraceuticals and Chronic Diseases.
The event was organized by the Society of Nutraceuticals and Chronic Diseases, and the Advanced Centre for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research in Cutaneous Biology, University of Kerala and was held at the University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram, from October 6 to 8, 2025.
