Tirupathi Rao Mocherla received the Second Prize for his Oral Presentation titled: 'Biobanking in Ophthalmology: Concept and Implementation at Prof Krothapalli Ravindranath Ophthalmic Research Biorepository'
His presentation highlighted LVPEI's innovations in ophthalmic biobanking, the systematic collection and preservation of high‑quality biological samples, and the critical role of the Biorepository in advancing vision research.
The International Biobank Conference 2026 was held from March 5–7, 2026, at the University of Hyderabad. Under the theme 'Technology-Driven Biobanking: Enabling Innovation from Bench to Bedside', the conference brought together various experts, researchers, institutions, and industry experts.
