The Bug Busters 5 Corneal Infection Workshop 2025 was successfully conducted at the L V Prasad Eye Institute’s Kallam Anji Reddy campus from October 23 till November 2, 2025.
The event commenced on October 23 with a seven-day Bug Watch programme until October 29, offering a hands-on observership in OPD, operation theatres, and the wet lab, followed by a Back-to-Basics session and a virtual Ocular Microbiology and Immunology Group (OMIG) symposium held on October 30.
It was followed by a three-day workshop from October 30 to November 2, which included the 'Race Against Resistance: 4K Challenge' around KBR Park in Banjara Hills, to raise awareness on antimicrobial resistance, attended by 200 participants including general public, conference attendees, LVPEI staff, and faculty.
