A Stanford University study has ranked thirteen scientists from L V Prasad Eye Institute among the top 2% of researchers worldwide. Seven of them have been listed among the top 2% of Ophthalmology scientists based on their lifetime citations, including Dr Gullapalli N Rao (Founder and Distinguished Chair of Eye Health), Prof D Balasubramanian (Director Emeritus Research), Dr Savitri Sharma (Director Emeritus, Laboratory Services), Prof Jill Keeffe (Visiting Professor), Dr Prashant Garg (Executive Chair, LVPEI), Prof/Dr Mohammad Javed Ali (Senior Oculoplastic Clinician and Scientist), and Dr Anil K Mandal (Senior Glaucoma Clinician and Scientist). Furthermore, six of these scientists have also featured in the top 2% based on the most recent citations in 2022, along with five other senior clinicians and scientists from LVPEI, including Dr Swathi Kaliki, Dr Rohit Khanna, Dr Taraprasad Das, Dr Sayan Basu, and Dr Raja Narayanan. Additionally, Dr Shivaji Sisinthy, Director Emeritus of Research, was also featured in this list for Microbiology.
