LVPEI successfully conducted a PAUL® Glaucoma Implant (PGI) Workshop on January 18, 2026, at its Quarternary Center -- the Kallam Anji Reddy campus - in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.
The workshop was led by Dr Sirisha Senthil, Head of the VST Centre for Glaucoma Care at LVPEI, and Dr Tan Chan Keong, Consultant Ophthalmologist, International Specialist Eye Centre, Malaysia, and supported by Advanced Ophthalmic Innovations (AOI), Singapore. It featured a detailed demonstration of the PAUL implant surgical technique, followed by hands-on practice for the attendees. 25 participants attended the session.
The session was further enriched with an interactive segment on problem-solving associated with small lumen implants and comparing the PAUL® device with other glaucoma implants available on the market.
It highlighted the key features of the PAUL® implant, including its micro-tube dimensions designed to reduce the risk of hypotony, optimized endplate design for effective IOP control, and pliable plate allowing better conformity to ocular anatomy.
