The Optometry Department at the LVPEI Mithu Tulsi Chanrai (MTC) Campus, Bhubaneswar, celebrated World Optometry Day 2026 on March 23, with a blend of service and celebration.
The event featured an address by Dr Umesh Behera (Consultant Ophthalmologist), who appreciated the team’s efforts, followed by remarks from Deepthi Chandran Parija (Network Assistant Director). The program included fun activities and cultural performances such as dance, music, and a short skit highlighting the role of optometrists in eye care.
The celebration concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony and refreshments, with participation from multiple departments, making it a vibrant and engaging event.
