LVPEI’s tertiary campus, Kode Venkatadri Chowdary campus, in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, celebrated 12 years of providing excellent, equitable and comprehensive eye care. Since inception, 9 lakh outpatients have been examined (34% treated at no cost) and 96,000 surgeries have been performed (48% treated at no cost) at the campus, and around 32,000 people have benefited from the vision rehabilitation services. More than 1000 have been successfully trained and the team has to their credit over 390 publications (collectively).
