2030-IN SIGHT - Implementing Integrated People-centred Eye Care in South-East Asia

LVPEI hosted ‘2030-IN SIGHT - Implementing Integrated People-centred Eye Care in South-East Asia’, the regional meeting of the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness. It had representation from prominent eye health leaders, organizations, and institutes, including World Health Organization and government ministries from the South-East Asia Region. The focus was to deliberate on promoting eye health as a development issue, embed it in the Sustainable Development Goals agenda and implement Integrated People-centred Eye Care. The meeting concluded with a suggestive action plan for developing a road map to achieve the target set – by 2030, make eye care services accessible for 1 billion people living with the consequences of sight loss because of inaccessibility of eye care services.
