The LVPEI Vijayawada campus now has a dedicated eye cancer facility 'Hima Bindu Yalamanchili Centre for Eye Cancer', courtesy Mrs Ratna Thulasi and Dr Basaveswara Rao Yalamanchili from Chicago. The first-of-its-kind Eye Cancer facility in the state of Andhra Pradesh was inaugurated by Mr Gautam Sawang, Director General of Police, Andhra Pradesh on 12 November 2020. It focuses on all aspects of care - patient care, rehabilitation, education, research and innovation.
