The 'Dr Chigurupati Nageswara Rao Ocular Pharmacology Research Centre' was recently inaugurated at LVPEI's Kallam Anji Reddy Campus in Hyderabad, Telangana, with the generous support of Granules India Limited, a leading Indian pharmaceutical manufacturing company. Honouring the late Dr Chigurupati Nageswara Rao, Former Chairman of Granules India Limited and a renowned surgeon from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, this state-of-the-art centre is poised to revolutionize ocular pharmacological research in India. It aims to delve into the intricacies of ocular diseases, understand drug interactions with disease-causing microorganisms, and pioneer personalized eye care treatments.
Beyond research, the centre will foster collaboration and educate and train the next generation of scientists and healthcare providers.
