Students Screened for Keratoconus

Over 200 students were screened for keratoconus using the handheld Placido Discs, a unique mobile phone mounted topography instrument designed by the LVPEI Centre for Innovation. The results were further cross-checked with the help of retinoscope. Shadab also participated in this activity and helped them understand keratoconus better. In addition to awareness talks, a Placido Disc was also handed over to children so that they identify abnormalities amongst their friends and families and refer them to eye specialists.
