‘Access to read’ – a Bookshare workshop

‘Access to read’ – a Bookshare workshop was organized by LVPEI’s Institute for Vision Rehabilitation to empower people with visual impairment an low vision to overcome the challenges they face in reading digital content. It introduced them to computer and android based reading and writing tools to help them access digital content. The guest faculty were Dr Homiyar Mubedji, Regional Head of Asia and Africa, Benetech and Ms Zainab Chinakamwala, Membership Head, Bookshare. Held on 14 September 2019 at the Institute’s Hyderabad campus it was attended by 126 participants including students from Netra Vidyalayam College and LVPEI clients, their parents and staff members.
