At the 5th annual meeting of the Telangana Ophthalmological Society (TOS), 12-13 July 2019:

Dr Pravin K Vaddavalli, delivered the prestigious Rustom Ranji Oration on ‘Corneal Transplantation 2020’

Dr Somasheila Murthy, was awarded (a) Gold Medal for poster presentation on ‘Unilateral iris granuloma: a rare presentation of intraocular tuberculosis’ (b) Certificate of merit for video presentation on  ‘Expulsive hemorrhage: etiology , prevention and management’

Dr Dimple Sanjay Lodha, a DNB resident at LVPEI, won the first prize in the Ramana Rao Grand rounds for her case presentation on ‘Neovascular glaucoma in a patient with ciliary body medulloepithelioma’

Dr Avantika Dogra, fellow at LVPEI, won (a) Second prize in the Ramana Rao Grand Rounds for her case presentation on ‘Opthalmic manifestations of CML’ (b) Third prize in P Ramchandar Competitive Free Paper Session for presentation on ‘Characteristics of Subretinal Neovascular Membrane on OCTA in Macular Telangiectasia Type 2’ 

Dr Vivek M Singh, fellow at LVPEI, was awarded a certificate of merit for his poster on ‘Evaluation of tear film osmolarity and lipid layer thickness in healthy Indian population’
