General Anesthesia Services Introduced at LVPEI’s Kothur Centre

For the first time, a pediatric cataract surgery with intraocular lens implantation and four squint surgeries in children, were performed under general anesthesia at LVPEI’s Natco Eye Centre at Kothur on 2 August 2018 by Dr Ramesh Kekunnaya. This is a milestone achievement as it is for the first time, surgeries under general anesthesia have been performed at a Secondary Centre.
