Honours received – ARVO

A large team of scientists and clinicians from LVPEI attended the annual meeting of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) in Denver, USA, with a rich haul of awards and recognition.
Rebecca Sumalini: Received the Envision-Atwell Award – honorable mention and cash award for her presentation
Earlier, six LVPEI research students were awarded the presentations of the DCERF (Developing Country Eye Research Fellowship) award and travel grants. Dr PremNandhini Satgunam received the prestigious Carl Camras Translational Research Award for her innovation – the pediatric perimeter, while Dr Subhabrata Chakrabarti was bestowed with the highest honor of “Gold Fellow” of ARVO (first one from India) for his achievements and services on various fronts of eye and vision research.
