iSTART

Introductory Surgical Training Across Specialities on the Right Track (iSTART) was organized on 28 October 2018. Meant for the first year comprehensive ophthalmology fellows and residents, it trained them on the right skill sets needed to handle microscope and to perform surgeries ranging from simple cataract to advanced subspecialty procedures. This was an attempt to provide a strong foundation to the trainees right at the beginning of their career. Followed by an interactive lecture, every candidate spent 30 minutes each on the various subspeciality surgical stations under one-on-one guidance.
