PupilN

Portable digital device, for quantitative pupillary response assessment.

Problem statement
Traditional pupillary assessment relies on a clinician using a manual penlight and ruler, which is subjective and prone to inter-observer variation. Manual methods cannot accurately measure specific parameters like exact dilation/constriction speed, time taken, or precise percentages of change, which are crucial for detecting subtle neurological issues.

About the product / solution
Pupil-N is a digital pupillometry device to objectively measure pupillary dynamics. It provides objective, standardized, and quantifiable measurements of pupillary light reflex (PLR) and  improves the sensitivity of detecting Relative Afferent Pupillary Defects (RAPD).

  • Pupil diameter in dilated & constricted phase
  • Reaction latency
  • Constriction & dilation velocity
  • Percentage change

It uses calibrated light stimulus and IR-based sensors for measuring pupillary dynamics.
