Ms Lakshmi Kousalya Akkina, consultant optometrist, Myopia Center at LVPEI GMR Varalakshmi campus, Visakhapatnam delivered a guest lecture on 'Myopia - The Future Directions for an Optometrist' at Centurion University, Andhra Pradesh campus on May 4th, 2023. The lecture was attended by optometry undergraduate students, faculty, and university authorities.
The university also recognized Ms Lakshmi Kousalya as the 'Best Alumni of 2018 Batch'.
In that press meeting that followed, she also spoke about the impact of myopia on individuals globally and the importance to raise awareness in rural and urban areas.
