Biography
Jayalaxmi is a Consultant Optometrist specialized in low vision care, visual rehabilitation, and special needs vision assessment. She completed her Master’s Degree in Optometry and has experience in evaluating and managing children and adults with various visual and developmental conditions. Her expertise includes low vision evaluation, functional vision assessment, pediatric vision care, and rehabilitation for patients with retinal, neurological, and developmental disorders. She works closely with children with autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, developmental delay, and cortical visual impairment to improve functional vision and daily living skills through individualized care and guidance. She is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered eye care and actively participates in academic teaching and professional training in low vision and special needs vision care.
