Akhil Bevara, completed his basic medical education from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad followed by his residency in Ophthalmology from the Sankara Eye Hospital, Guntur. He then pursued a Fellowship in Cornea and Anterior Segment from LVPEI, Hyderabad. Dr Bevara then joined LVPEI, as a Consultant in Refractive surgery, Cornea and Anterior Segment, Cataract and Contact Lens services. His main areas of clinical interest include keratoconus and other ectatic corneal disorders, advances in laser refractive surgery, corneal transplants and contact lens related to corneal diseases.
A member of All India & Telangana Ophthalmological Societies, Dr Akhil Bevara has several publications to his credit published in reputed national and international journals and has given presentations in various conferences. Besides clinical work, he likes travelling and enjoys sports, especially football.
